Artist: Baby Daddy Title: Hungry Hungry Nipple Label: Slut Factory Records Year: 2009 I always love xerox artwork, this is no exception. This disc's art has some weird 8-bit style weird videogame illustrations. It also comes with an extra insert, and is all packaged in a thin re-sealable polysleeve. With this weird brand of art, it's a shame that it all isn't double sided. The white disc is simply stamped the with artist name and title.
What a strange mix of statics, feedback, and rumbling. All 4 tracks follow a similar style, but not boring or hard to listen to. All sounds to me seem very simply made, which is a great thing (although I’m not sure if that is actually the case). Speeds are always changing among and inside these 4 tracks, but they flow nicely. A nice groove between harsh static and feedback will be going, and then you’ll hear some glitchy electronics….what the fuck? Awesome, and works perfectly. So many great noises, high bleeps complimented by a tumbling low crunch. Though three of the four tracks are under three minutes, one is 13 minutes long, and most definitely the standout track. It really represents the album as a whole, and allows you to really hear all of the different sounds. How have these guys stayed under the radar for so long? To me, this disc is a breath of fresh air amidst the leagues of boring noise. Hopefully there’s more where this came from. Highly reccomended.
