Peace from Dillon Vaughan Maurer
Party people! Gutentag from Berlin, Germany. I hope this finds
everybody well: chillen and gettin theirs and all that. Yer boy Dillon is
still out here in the field - recording and reporting live. I'm halfway
through with my excursion -staying with Batsauce and Lady Da*sey -
and I'm definitely having a blast -while working as hard as I absolutely
can of course. On that tip, the record that I came out here to record
(with Batsauce on all the beats and engineering) is coming along
nicely - hopefully it will be mostly finished when I leave here - there
definitely will be more to come on that front - got some dope guest
shots lined-up that I think ya'll will dig - not to mention what Bat and I
have cooked up on our own.

If you are a human, and like to eat, you should have already been
all over my official digital home, DillonAteThat.com. I have recently
posted a grip of my Berlin meals that may interest ya in my "Broke in
Berlin" series.

If you like to keep up with the news and whatnot - or if you simply
just keep getting with my bombarded with my shameless plugs - you
should check out the new Week In Rap this week - we made it here in
Berlin, with Batsauce on the beat (via his producer project - Duct
Tape - a collabo with Berlin based musician, Wynton Kelly
Stevenson - the harmonica player on the song "It's Raining" from
Batsauce's Berlin Blog # 7), and of course vocal stylings from Lady
Da*sey herself.
Watch The Week In Rap

I'll be back to Atlanta in a tad more than a week, and for anybody
in the area running around on Sunday, May 3rd - I'm playing at
Smith's Olde Bar as part of "500 Songs for Kids". It's a really dope
charity event that raises money for the Songs For Kids Foundation
- a group that brings music to kids in hospitals - setting up studios
and what not and letting them record and write music. Really, really,
dope. The event format is 500 different bands performing 500 classic
cover songs spread out over 4 days. Last year Cee-Lo was out there
amongst many others. (Myself and 498 other acts to be exact. HA!)
I will be playing Sunday night, May 3 at 8:05 pm. Songs For Kids
asked me to perform "Paid in Full" By Eric B. and Rakim. Aiiiight!
Also, when I get back I have a lil thang coming up Friday May
15th - I'll be sharing the stage with none other than J-Live and a host
of talent @ Cenci as a collabo between Speakeasy and The
Munchies. Definitely don't sleep on that as I will be coming straight
from a double on job #1 - to job # 2 on the mic, ya dig?

Before I dip out, had to give you the heads up on Mr. Lif's new
album "I Heard it Today" - If you are into Hiphop I'm sure you've
heard of this underground legend. Well just let it be known that his
new album is BANGIN - and features damn near everyone out of
Duval County helping him on beats and rhymes - Batsauce, Willie
Evans Jr., Therapy aka P.Locke (Tres Records), and my mans, Nikhil.
So - GO PEEP THAT!
Ok ya'll im out! Time to go fix this Turkish coffee in the french
press. Mmmm... Please be on the lookout for mucho music coming
outta Dillon's head - Studies in Hunger - the debut Dillon album
(Produced entirely by P. Locke) is complete and looking for a home
and will be out soon come!!
Please pass the word - just cause you're hip to the game doesn't
mean your friends are! Thanks so much for your time! And of course,
please hit me back! And I love my momma! HA!
peace.
