Friday, July 22, 2005

Aloha to all of my friends!  Thank you all for your support and friendship.

I'm not familliar with this kind of thing so please be patient with me if I don't get back to you soon.

I am currently working on my album entitled Oregano Blue.

I feel so blessed to be making true and origional music with such amaizing and talented people.  Oregano Blue will hopefully be available in November.

Again, thank you all for your support.

                                             Malama Pono, Paula

Mark Sallings

I just wanted to tell you how much I love to hear you sing! You've really got something special.  You were given a gift!  I knew it, and so did thousands of others, the first time the world heard and saw you sing... your smile and your presence, your voice, all of it was real, and something about you just said "listen to me, I'm the real deal!"

Tonight while working and suring I stumbled onto your space and I'm so glad I did!

I AM going to buy your CD! I AM going to tell everyone I know to do the same!  I AM going to point people to MySpace and encourage them to read about you on the net, to look for your up-coming home page and to give you the support you deserve!   Those that haven't heard you yet, will be happily surprised when they do!!

You've got soul and passion; that can't be manufactured.. created with hype, it's the real deal.. it's part of who you are...   What you're doing is real, it's nobody but you, and in today's society where everyone wants to sound the same, like alike, talk alike, etc,. your music shines through like a light and touches the spirit!  Keep it up, never give it up!! Best of Blues and All that is Real in Music!!

Peace!  Sandi "Unknown Media Maven" Mark Sallings & The Famous Unknowns!!

LADY PAISLEY

HAWAII PONO: A HOMELESS BENEFIT PROJECT

Calling all good-hearted folks who would like to join forces on a project that will bring people from various walks of life TOGETHER to help uplift our community- spiritually & culturally~

My vision for this project is to connect all organizations whose aim is to help our community. I would like to see projects such as Paula Fuga's LILIKOI HOUSE come to fruition, helping women in transition... Juliet Lighter's DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROJECT develop into strong organizations... HALAU KU MANA whose mission is to integrate Hawaiian culture back to into education... These are only a few organizations--- I CALL ON ALL OF YOU TO STEP OUT & REACH OUT.

I challenge people that share different spiritual, cultural, political & educational backgrounds to come together and perpetuate the ALOHA that came before us.

Homelessness is a growing social problem here in Hawaii and I would like to create a once a year event where everyone can come together to work on this issue, bring their ideas and find resolutions for this and its related social issues. There are various reasons why people end up on the streets; nevertheless, the homeless are an important part of our community. Some of us are more fortunate than the next; and while Hawaii is flourishing, with its big money plans & wonderous developments... we must remember what is happening to the people of the land.

Through cultural education and availability of resources, we can all take responsibility and join together to help people help themselves in more ways than one.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE ANY COMMENTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE.

ALTHOUGH THIS PROJECT MAY SEEM INTIMIDATING AND OVERWHELMING, I'D RATHER DIE TRYING... SO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO JUMP ON THE BUS, HOLLA.

XO, PAISLEY.

*An event will take place @ WAIMEA AUDOBON with the date TBA (to be arranged) because I would like to let this project evolve and mature on its own before presenting it to the public.
