So, i flew out to north carolina this morning.  My grandma, Mimi, has been in a nursing home for awhile now.  On friday my mom called and told me she wasnt doing very well.  She had talked to my dad who said he'd buy plane tickets so we could fly out and see her.  Lance and i agreed to ask Aaron if he wanted to come along because Mimi was such a huge part of his early years.  Most people know that i had aaron at a young age, Mimi was kind enough to move all the way out to Las Vegas and help take care of him while i finished high school and started into college. 
She also helped save my childhood, she did her best to try and help give me something "normal" after what happened before. 

She loves baby's.  They also seemed to love her in return,  she could always be found rocking or singing to them. 

Mimi is such a good person, she always went out of her way to help everyone.  She went and would take care of other people who where sick.  I don't think its fair that she has to suffer, i know she must hate being stuck in a bed unable to really talk or even eat.  I just wish there was some way i could take away her pain and make it all better for her.  Aaron seems to be holding up, when we where there today he fell asleep in the bed beside her.  She seemed to calm down when he did that and she stopped frowning and seemed content. 

I came down here prepaired to say my goodbyes, but i feel so selfish because i want her to stay so that Cole can know her like Aaron does.  I remeber when i talked to her on the phone last she told me how she wanted to come back out to vegas and live with us, animals and all.  She said she missed us and didn't like the cold out here.  I'm not sure she would fully enjoy the tourment that is Cole, he is a force of nature. 

I know that when she's gone we will all miss her, but i hope she finds peace, and gets to see Pappy again.
