I am speechless....which is what he SHOULD be!!!! Isn't it amazing how a man will use his position in the pulpit to voice HIS opinion and try and sway others....would not want to hear any of his sermons....as no telling what he would say the bible meant.....like people should stick to their own kind!!!!!!!
I don't care what the racial/ethnic background someone is....I want to know what the pros & cons are of the candidate....where they stand on the issues....Some people say we need a woman in office and others say we need a minority in office....Hell can we just get someone that is going to do the job to the best of his/her abilities with the best interest of the country and our people in mind?!?!?!?!!!

I agree JC. The state of our country is a direct result of our unwillingness to elect good presidents and hold them accountable for the things they say and do. Neither race nor gender play a factor for me... honesty and integrity however do. I have no doubt who is behind this sort of division. Some of our "leaders" are very close to the Clinton campaign and have a lot to gain from her Presidency... kinda like when Church leaders persuaded their members to vote for Bush in the LAST election...

"Tis better to be thought a fool...than to open your your mouth and remove all doubt!"
(Just goes to show, no matter what utterly ridiculous ideology one can conjure, someone will follow! It's sad to think of a single person going home thinking that they've been somehow enlightened by this is absolute lunacy.)

Not me massa...I'sa obedient nigra...He needs to be slapped. People like to say Bill clinton was the best president, or that he was the 1st black president. You gotta be kidding me man. Church and state should be seperate when it comes to you trying to guilt people into voting for the candidate of your choosing. He straight up needs to be slapped for his ignorance. I bet he is the same one who lets his kids sit idly in front of BET watching the videos that VIACOM tries to pass off as black culture. All the rump shakin and flashiness, use of ilicit drugs and overuse of the coveted "video ho's." This is truly pitiful.

yup its real! Im sure we will see a lot more of it... like we did when Kerry ran against Bush. It won't be so blatant and the word "negroe" probably won't be used... but SOME (not all) church leaders DO have a way of telling their members who to vote for. Last time it was Bush... this time...

I'm curious to know what this guy's logic is. Let's follow his logic, if we can:
Senator Obama can't be trusted because his father is African and his mother was "White." So the Clinton's should be trusted because they are simply "White." Although Pastor Manning has previously criticized Senator Hillary Clinton, she should now be embraced, because she is "White." Apparently, "Black" people are unstable and shouldn't be trusted.
I think I covered all the points of this logic. I understand why there is such a separation of "church and state." Religion is neutral, in most cases. However, humans choose to exploit religion and religious liberties to develop fallacies which poison the minds of others based on an individual's evil agendas. This gentleman is proclaiming his own agenda and not the agenda of CHRIST. Pastor Manning's disdain for himself and erroneous teachings are clearly evident. This is poison to all people; whether "Black" or otherwise.
Peace and love...

Good point.. although I think he is taking his cue from a few of our "leaders". In case you missed the 2007 SOBA you should watch it on youtube if you get some time. The very basis of the meeting was, in my opinion, to graciously dismiss Sen. Obama as unfit for the Presidency.

Yeah, I was watching that on YouTube a few weeks ago. It was kind of sad. At this stage in our country's history, "Black" people have become such extremists. We've either become so educated and successful that injustice and division becomes illusion OR we hate ourselves so much that anything associated with the idea of being "Black" is negative. Either extreme is dangerous and doesn't help us fight injustice or connect with people globally who support our struggle.
The idea that people apparently don't see race [all of a sudden] is the actual "fairy tale" of this political juncture. Before Senator Barack Obama began this run for the Democratic nomination, he was the "darling" of America who "should" run for office. When he ACTUALLY put in his bid, he suddenly became "an inexperienced, fanatic terrorist Muslim, Black supremacist Christian, unpatriotic traitor." Even worse, the same "leaders" who claim to want to make history with the first plausible "Black" or "African American" President of the U.S., have been on the heels of Senator Clinton. Little do they know, they aren't voting for former President Bill Clinton. They are rooting for his wife whose policies are fairly different.
When we see another Hurricane Katrina, have more police brutality, get offered higher interest rates on home loans, and have our children neglected in the Public School System, we'll remember that we are still "Black." We have a temporary lapse in judgment, but the nation will smack us and wake us up.
Peace and love...

NATURALLY TWISTED; I AM A BLACK WOMAN
Well Well, somebody needs to take this pastor and sit his tail down.As long as I have been on this her earth I was always told that if you have any African American blood in your viens your black. So, what if Obama's mama is white he see's his self as a black man, so that is what he is. Bill Clinton was an excellent president despite his second head being the leader sometimes. Why is everybody especially our black folk trynna make this election a black and white thing. It just sways everybodies attention away from the real issues. Who is going to be able to lead this nation without prejudice, basis, all talk no action. That is my concern on whom I shall give my vote too. Not what color the skin , hair, and or eyes. I could really careless about that. On the real everyone needs to focus on this, " IS AMERICA REALLY GOING TO LET A BLACK (man or woman) SIT IN THE OVAL OFFICE", MAKE THAT YOUR CONCERN. NOW THINK ON THAT! Yeah, he is capable most definately, but when did that start mattering when you speak on the Government! LIKE SPIKE HAD IT QUOTED THE BEST, IN SCHOOL DAZE, " YOU BETTER WAKE UP" "WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
The underlying message of america has be demonstrated the best here lately throught the country with JENA 6, Hurricane Katrina, College Park Incident, Man from Virginia(Fairfax or near) riding around with nooses hanging from his truck, Store front owners on the Eastern Shore of Maryland being shut down for sending money back to Iraq, cigarette fraud and some more.....PEOPLE DON'T LET MINDLESS FOLK TAKE YOUR MIND OFF OF THE REAL ISSUES THAT PLAGUE OUR COUNTRY........
THESE ARE MY VIEWS PEOPLE I AM NOT TRYING TO PUSH ANY ON YOU!

this is definitely true. I believe that Sen. Obama is one of the few politicians that even CARE about the things you just mentioned. Other candidates would rather spread the kind of hypocrisy that divides us further than we already are.

...ummmm...where would I begin? Umm what could I say? Ummmm...yeah! Well I didn't know Barack Obama was half white and I bet that MANY others like me didn't know either. He made a reference to the HALF WHITE in Barack but he didn't really have much to say about the other HALF BLACK that's in him other than to say AND his dad is African! As if to say "and we all know African's aren't black!" LOL
He is confused, ignorant, racist, UNenlightened. I am SOOOOO glad that I don't go to his church. I would be BANNED from the congregation because they would think I was the devil 'cause I would be so out of order. I would be screaming LIAR, RACIST, during his sermons...LOL The scariest thing is that he is a shephard over some flock and he is breeding ignorance and producing a POWERLESS, unbalanced, racist, AND FOOLISH people! This is why people have problems with religion, preachers, etc. IF YOU ARE NOT PREACHING THE WORD OF GOD THEN GOD CAN'T DRAW PEOPLE TO HIM! People don't need this BS! They need the TRUTH! Save your archaic, antiquated, dim witted opinion for yourself.
It's ignoramuses like this neanderthal who ruin the image of the body of Christ. Forgive me for talking about a man of God but I question his relationship with God.

Oh HELLLLL naw. I haven't seen this much Uncle Tom foolery since I can't remember when.
And I saw something similar on tv the other week, a black preacher endorsing Clinton and encouraging all blacks and minorities to dismiss Obama. This is really awful and shameful.

I totally agree! We hate ourselves so much that when we have two candidates with basically the same policies, we assume that the "Black" candidate is inferior. That's how psychologically damaged we are in this country. Am I suggesting voting for Obama because he's "Black?" Yes, but that's only part of it! Aside from him looking like me (a Black person), he is the ONLY candidate who has actually worked with other minority groups and the downtrodden; hands-on and not only from a distance via speech and legislation! I love his street credibility, his personality, and especially his record.
Peace and love...

Is this a real video, or a prank/joke of some sort? It's hard to believe that an African-American Minister in 2008 can stand before a congregation and say the things he said. There's no way he can be for real. If by chance he is for real, does he not realize that he's African-American too???!!!!! By the way, I had to revoke his minsterial license.
