I thought it would be nice to not talk about what we had going on, but what other people's music we are enjoying have going on.

I was hoping to find some cool new music this way. If you guys want to send us some music you like, we are always looking for something fresh.

I have been buying music like crazy lately.
I'm trying to stay fresh, I never used to listen to as much top 40 country as I have in the past 3 or 4 years.

So..... here are some things we have found, or gone back to that are really cool, we think.

Probably two of my favorite new things are Matt Wertz, and Will Hoge.
I met matt on a plane and wrote a few songs with will. Both are super nice guys, and have great music.

The new Steve Earle record is really cool, as is all of the Steve Earle records.

Eric Hutchinson, Vampire Weekend, Chris Knight, Derek Trucks,Aimee Mann, Rufus Wainwright, Louden Wainwright III, Old Crow Medicine Show, Jeremy McComb,Keb Mo', Ryan Adams, G. Love, are all constant plays on my ipod.

Not to mention the whole catalog of Van Morrison, Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, and others that get played constantly.

The surprising ones from high school I always go back to are Everclear, Weezer, Rage, No/FX. These always do me right.

Then there's the Willie Nelson, Haggard, Eric Church, Gary Allan, Dwight Yoakam, Guy Clark, Springsteen, kinds of things on there.

What about you?

J

P.S.

new guys around Nashville to look out for.
Jamie Davis and Soul Gravy, Randy Montana

Check them out!

...all of the above...with the addition of Adam Hood, The Band, AC/DC, Black Crowes, Johnny Cash, Chris LeDoux, Don Williams, Vern Gosdin, The Stones, Theory of a Deadman, Hinder & Waylon...what can I say...I like variety...and you know I'm listening to some JS & The Grove...and if the mood is right...you can't beat a little Pink Floyd...I'm just saying...

UHH lets see my brotha go get the latest copy of "If we ever make it home" by Wade Bowen it is super tough! It won almost every award possible at the Texas Music Awards this year. Also Micky & the Motor Cars new album is great. A couple awesome songwriters with a good following are Brandon Jenkins & Mike McClure. In no particular order look up Kings of Leon, Matt Stell & the Crashers, Bart Crow Band, Todd Snider, Bruce Robinson, Charlie Robison, Robert Earl Keen, Billy Jo Shaver, & the Smoking Jackets!! Gotcha on that last one! These are some of my favorites and strongest influences! Other than your music!!  No props for Waylon on your list? OUCH HURTS!! talk to ya soon

We agree with pieces of so many of these posts........some we haven't seen here that have found their way into our CD player are

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Veronica Ballestrini, Bob Marely(always good chill music), Steve Miller Band, George Strait, and those wonderfully cheesy 80's/early 90's music
