Okay, okay, I know it's really only Tuesday, but that means we're
just a few days away from Friday. And that means we're only a few days
away from our first performance on WUGA's wonderful "It's Friday" program hosted by the maestro himself, Mr. Robb Holmes.
If you're not familiar with the program, each Friday afternoon from 4-5pm
musicians/bands/artists perform live on the radio from the WUGA
studios. Performances are the kind people like to refer to as "stripped
down," which essentially means that since there's no way for bands to
monitor, they have to play quiet enough so that they can hear each
other's instruments in order to avoid nasty time/pitch issues.
What it means for us is that we'll be doing an acoustic-ish show for the first time. Should be fun!
If you're in the Athens area, you can tune in to
WUGA on 91.7 fm, and you can always listen online from anywhere at WUGA's website:
www.wuga.org.
And if you have Charter cable (and since they're a monopoly here in
Athens, if you've got cable you've got Charter), you can actually watch
the show on your television on channel 9. I'm not sure if that's a good
idea or not.
So pick your head up, Tuesdays; Friday is almost here.
