Greetings

I was sitting around here at the shop today (3/29) around 5:00PM EDT, when I heard the sound of thunder.  Then I head the sound of rain.  Looked at the weather map on line and it was solid red on top of us here.  Next thing I hear is hail, so I grab the camera and head to the front of the shop.

We had a good inch (that's 2 1/2 cm or thereabouts) of hail come down in the space of about 15 minutes.  Them white dots are the hail as its a dropping.  Most were in the 1/4 to 1/2" size but some were getting right close to the 3/4" (or 2 cm).







This was the mess on my side walk.  I went out around 6:00 and shoveled it off to the curb and the pile was a good 8" deep even in 50 F temps.



I'm sure glad I wasn't out driving around in that mess when it hit!!
