1) Post comments with requests for friends to add you, esspecially on profiles where many people frequent, as Tila, or Forbidden...  Comments don't expose you to a spammer accusation as the people whose profiles you comment on have already declared a relationship with you.

2) Friend people who are absolutely going to approve your request, as celebrity profiles, public service profiles, the people you hang around with...

3) Don't email people you don't know.  Don't friend request people you don't know or aren't approving every of their friend requests as the people mentioned above.

4) Be sure to have a recognizable default photo when you're friend requesting the people you hang out with.

5) Quite disingeuous and highly technical, but works quite charmingly.  Setup a profile apart from the one you're trying to draw friends to, set a table in a div over the whole of the body of the profile with a transparent td that links to the friend request link of the profile you're trying to get friends on, set your main account privacy to require friendship status to allow picture view.  Make the default photo of the profile you're using to trick people into friending your other profile very attractive to the demographic you're inviting as friends.

Some people will just fire off the friend request and not think to click back to where they're at their friend request list to approve the friend request you sent.

Others will fill the captcha and and click to request friend.  Those people, you got, they will show up in your friend request list.  The other people who click back and approve your friend request will then click through to your profile again and try to access your picture, they'll again be presented with a request you as friend window.

They'll be puzzled and wonder why their approving your friend request did not make them your friend, but they'll probably send you a friend request all the same.

They might in frustration decide to not bother attempting to friend you and skip seeking your delicious photo.

You have them as your friend on your other account which means you'll be free to comment them with requests to friend my friend "whatever your name on your main account..."

America being as iodine deficient as we are, you should be able to have the whole continent friended by next Tuesday.

Drop me a line, k?
Latah,
Dan
