I read the book "Go Ask Alice" it is supposed to be based on a diary of a teenage girl, my guess is in the sixties.  It is a very good story, I like that it is as if you were reading out of her diary and she was confiding in you as a friend.  Some argue the writing may have been to advanced for a teen girl.  None the less it is a good story of someone's struggles and I can relate.  I recommend this book.
