unfortunately los angeles has recently lost two of it's greatest bands.
for quite a while now here in los angeles. you may have noticed
them on our top friends before, but if you haven't checked out their
music yet, shame on you. it looks like you won't get the chance
to see either one of them play live again, but they both have music
for sale on the internet, and if you contact them they may be able
to get you a c.d. or a t-shirt. please don't be shy if you like them.
they are both bands that consist of really cool people who make
really cool music. no bullshit. drop them a line, and
show them that you care.
i will really miss seeing them play, and i will really miss playing,
and organizing shows with them. i will miss standing shoulder to
shoulder with their fans. i will miss seeing them persevere in the
face of adversity. i will miss them debuting new songs, and
i will miss seeing them accomplish their goals against odds that
would easily discourage other people.
i would like to encourage everyone not to focus on gossip,
or who to blame, or on why these bands have broken up.
what they did was hard to do, and i'm glad they did it
for as long as they did.
thanks guys.

update!
tpf has decided to continue on without merisa on vocals
under the name bat wings cat wings.
look for new music from bat wings cat wings, and merisa (solo) in the future.
dan and smith may also continue separately,
so keep an eye out for their new projects.
life goes on, and i am very much looking forward to the new music,
and new bands that the future holds.
