Greetings, Friends!

Lots going on around the Farm here!  We're rebuilding our office and fixing equipment.  We're finalizing our market schedule and looking for help to staff them (have we heard from you yet?).  We're finishing apple pruning and starting up peach pruning.  We're finishing up seed orders and starting up plant propagation in the greenhouse.  There are business plans, transition plans, meetings and things to order for market.  And all this BEFORE things start growing.  It certainly does kind you sharp if you're a part of this industry.

I just wanted to take a moment to direct you all to our new website!  It's still a work in progress, but it's going to be your primary source for all the events and goings here on the farm and at our markets.  We're not leaving our lovely and loyal MySpace Community - don't worry!  If anything this will increase our MySpace exposure and we'll be connecting with more of you out there in cyberspace!  The blog will be current at both places, as will pics etc. - the whole works!

We're also now on Facebook!  Dig it?  I can - I'm kinda partial to Facebook myself.  It will be just another way by which you can get your Three Springs fix.  And before you ask... our family owns a fruit farm tucked in the hills of back country Adams County, PA  so no, for us, there's no such thing as overexposure!

Here's some good exposure for family farms in general.  One of my musical idols has written this great op-ed for the Boston Globe and I wanted to share that link with everyone too.

So there's a capsule of what's shaking.  Here's an update on the new items we'll be growing for market this year!

Onions
Okra
Lettuce
Corn
Strawberries
Flowers
Broccoli

Plus TONS more variety of squash, tomatoes, eggplant etc.

Pretty cool, right?!

From Our Farm to Your Home,

Farmer Ben
