Last night's screening was so incredibly amazing that nobody in attendance realized that a raging hellstorm was lashing Austin the whole time. Hope everyone escaped major damage.

Pardon my really hard sell of I Luv Video but I wanted to inaugurate the I Luv Video era with a big push. Everyone go get a membership at I Luv and tell them I sent you.

But about TRUCK TURNER. If you want to get pissed off, read some of the movie reviews online about TT. The consensus seems to be that it's subpar, run-of-the-mill... WHAT???

I ask you: is there any way that movie could have rocked your drawers that it didn't? Isaac Hayes is likable and funny. Yaphet Kotto brings the crazy intensity. Nichelle Nichols - who could have possibly played that role better. All the action scenes pop. The dialogue destroys. It's as perfect as we have any right to expect.

Other great cameos: Scatman Crothers, Stymie Beard from Our Gang as the guard at the women's lockup, Annik Borel from LEGEND OF THE WOLFWOMAN as the scissor-stabbing topless hooker, the great Sam Laws as Nate Dinwiddie.
