I am afraid we are all ruled by insane governments.  I have a theory.  You have to be a completely self-serving, narcissistic asshole to even think of running for public office.  Who wants that kind of responsibility if they aren't out to abuse the power?

Maybe we should all have to get picked out a lottery to hold office for a year or something.  See how that works.  Would we get more foolish leaders with that method?  I doubt that is possible.
