Lenny Molotov is an astonishing fingerstyle guitarist whose playing is steeped in delta blues and ragtime. He's also a literate songwriter who quickly moves from the politics of love to the love of (left wing) politics. His songs reflect contemporary themes but stand firmly in the Americana tradition. His virtuoso band consists of Jake Engel, who plays harmonica in the style of Little Walter; Karl Meyer who contributes a lyrical and jazzy violin; and J.D Wood, who anchors the sound with his stand-up bass.
