Somehow this seems like very appropriate advice for the Democrats and all who favor major, meaningful health care reform in our country .... the finale of the 1989 "We Sing in Sillyville"...

No that was the scene from the floor from the stimulus vote that put a trillion bucks on the national debt.  True healthcare reform would be to tell americans to lose 20 to 30 pounds quite smoking and exercise a bit and pull themselves away from the tv.

..Here is some more advice for the democrat party...stop TELLING citizens what to do.  The most immediate impact would be to break ties with trial lawyers and stop frivolous law suits.  Dean (D) hit it on the head.

BTW. ....EVERY.... time you spell America or Americans...the "A" is presented in capital form.

;)

Semper Fi and GOD BLESS... ....

Perhaps it is time for us to review Rudyard Kipling's "The Gods of the Copybook Headings" once again?  So far in government it looks like business as usual and the "spoils system" is alive and well.  I don't know where the truly bright people are lurking, but it doesn't look like it is in government....

so the dog comes back twice: in the musical production and in the unstory that wraps it all up. cost cutting as a major motivation for health care reform is the dog that shows up like shooting the horse his father was sitting on in the mountains so "The Horseman In The Sky" drops off the cliff in the story by Ambrose Bierce at the beginning of his book, ..In The Midst of Life... Businesses cut their medical costs by firing workers, and productivity goes up when the healthy work and everybody else sits around and wonders who is going to pull the plug on this glorious show.

It is good advice, but somehow no one seems to be listening to good advice. So sad.

I would comment but it doesn't seem worth the effort.

It's that archway game that done it for me and Barney is a great guy too. SillyWhim, Fraggy Frog or Fruggy Frog, Acorn and Tiddlebirds as for Spurtle Gurgles, Twirly Pops and Jingleheimers have got nothing on the Wump, Big Tree and the Tape Logger. Oh and the audio sweetening by Rex is good to, well done Rex..... Health care is the big cheese though as much as insurance is good in that you could get a new motor vehicle in replacement through the policy some people can't afford to even buy the car never mind insure it. National health in Britain is a priority it should be in USA, I don't think that is Silly, is it?

Reading Yahoo news this Tuesday morning I see that fines are being proposed for those who don't buy medical insurance...  Very interesting!  Welcome to the land of the free (?) and the home of the not very brave.  People wish to be "safer" from outside intervention.  It looks like that might include our own government..

That's a dumb, dangerous idea that I do not support - and I predict it will not be in the bill that the Democrats rally around.

President Obama had already stated that he doesn't support this - however anti-Obama politics keep playing on this proposal made by one individual.

I'd rather listen to facts.
