So latest news out of the middle-east is that a brutal dictator, who forcibly overthrew a democratically elected government, has amassed WMDs, has threatened to use them against one of our allies, and allows a large militia of Al Quaeda terrorists to conduct operations against American soldiers has declared martial law and arrested most of his major opponents.

The country is Pakistan, and its self-imposed leader, General Pervez Musharraf is the dictator I describe above. Our ally in the Global War On Terror. Our buddy the dictator

Unlike Iran, Pakistan has Al Quaeda within its borders conducting operations against American soldiers. Unlike Iran, Pakistan ALREADY has nuclear weapons, and has threatened, our ally India on several occasions (The Kashmir region in the grips of an undeclared war.

Iran did overthrow the government in the 70s, just like Musharraf. Of course, they overthrew a government that we had installed, so my guess is that the Iranian "revolution" is, and was more popular than the Military coup that Pakistan faced.

Why don't we put our energy into invading Pakistan?

Wouldn't we be welcomed into the former democracy with open arms? General Musharraf took power from a democratically elected WOMAN in 2000, who was a Muslim…… Yeah that's right, a democratically elected female Muslim was forced out of power by a ruthless and greedy military.

I think its time to fire up some Toby Keith people!

What about Saparmurat Niyazov, the dictator of Turkmenistan? This crazy dictator has officially changed his name to Turkmenbashi, which means "Father Of Turkmen", he's re-named months of the year after he and his mother, banned ballet, gold teeth and recorded music, and is in the process of building a lake in the middle of a desert…..

Hell, I think we can even get some of those Glooooball Warming nuts to back our play in Turkmenistan. Did I mention he was Muslim?

We cannot start thinking about invading parties without considering the most brutal dictator in the Middle-East;

Abdul Aziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia is the home of the culture police, some of the worst women's rights in the world, and 15 of the 19 hijackers that flew into the world Trade Center on September 11th. In 1990, during the Gulf war, religious policemen beat US servicewomen for walking around in shorts. They have been known to fund terrorism against American and Israeli interests,

An invasion of Saudi Arabia would likely go very smoothly. After all, we already have an Air Force base there. And The United States government did install the government there. Surely we've got some inside as to how they would try to defend themselves.

So, the next time somebody asks me how I feel about invading Iran, I'm going to say I'm for it.

Just as soon as we're done in Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and Saudi Arabia.

Are you totally freakin' insane?

We are currently losing two wars, and you want to start 4 more???

wow....

----

It's not. The only reason they are still in power today in Iran is because the U.S. invaded Iraq. It gave the mullahs the perfect excuse to start clamping down. It also convinced another generation of Iranians that the U.S. is filled with idiotic war mongering racists. This was after, BTW, Iran HELPED the U.S. in Afghanistan.

----
Why don't we put our energy into invading Pakistan?
----

Because we're not war mongering fools? Because we don't ALL think it's fine to kill brown people who have a different word for the same God? Because it would be retarded to invade a country with nuclear weapons and a whole lot of young men willing to deliver them personally? Because peace is actually a good thing?

How many more reasons do you want? I can come up with millions, if you like.

I think you missed some of the sarcasm in his post. Well, OK, a lot of it.

okay....I'm going to walk away slowly now.

Been a long week. Had just read this.

And this. Wasn't too hard to think someone would want to quadruple down their bet...

In the future, throw in something about invading Mars too. Some of us work too hard and can't think very good near the end of the week. :-/

peace,

Also, there's a certain guy named Rudy running for president who has a foreign policy plan very similar to the one you've laid out.

Great post. Also, Wah, please do not say something so presumptuous as "different name for the same God" until you know the complete history of the different religions involved in such a statement.

Aaaaand done...

To truly know the complete history one would have to have lived for thousands of years. I haven't lived that long, but I have studied quite hard with the years I've had here and will continue to do so as long as my brain works.

We are all the same species. And have damn near the exact same brain.

It's the same God. It's the same Allah.

peace,

Amen to that. I mean right now Pakistan is definatly our immediate threat. I have to say though, I don't think we should fuck with Turkmenistan. Although he be very unorthodox, His insanity amuses me. And I would love to see a lake in the middle of the desert. But all kidding aside I think we should really just turn the whole area into a big ass sheet of glass if you know what I mean.

Yes, I know what you mean. You mean to boil the flesh off of children. You mean to make those who have NEVER done anything bad to you suffer for *your* fear. You mean to visit Hell upon those that wish for nothing but peace. You mean to kill for pleasure.

I know exactly what you mean.

Do you know how mean you are?

Do you know how wrong you are?

Do you know how evil you are?

---

I DO.
