When my mother got wind of this story, she turned to me & was concerned that I'd do something like that because like that dude, I don't have much going for me in the way of girlfriends. Actually, next month I'll be 30 & I still have never even been on a date let alone got laid. But unlike that guy, it doesn't consume me like that. I've accepted my flaws(physical, mental, etc) & learned to deal with them.

So don't worry, I won't be running & gunning the streets for that reason. Actually, when I first heard about it, I thought he was upset of rising gym fees. Now that I can understand.
