Current mood:  disappointed

Well, I didn't land the job. I'm bummed of course but I'm still glad I got the opportunity to go through this process. There were apparently 800 to 1000 people that originally sent in their auditions so I am really proud of myself for making it that far. There were guys that came from as far as Dublin, Ireland to audition the day I did and some were even from already proven bands. To be completely disappointed would just be silly of me. This opportunity has really fired me up to try even more things for my own band and let no opportunity pass us by. The support and kind words I've gotten from everyone has been overwhelming and I just want to thank everyone for believing in me. Thank You!

By the way here is a link to my version of their song. This was my original audition submission if you would like to hear it.

Jeremy, pleasure meeting you in LA. Thanks so much for coming out and showing interest. There were a lot of great singers and great candidates in this group of auditioners and as of right now we have narrowed it down to about three guys who we think seem to fit us. However, if things change or don't work out, we'll certainly let you know immediately. I just want to personally express my thanks to you for taking the time, money, effort, and interest to come out. Much appreciated. All the best to all of us, Carl.

Congratulations Jeremy,

You don't know me, but my friend Fuller and I took that same Fuel trip to L.A. and a week or so after returning home to Detroit he recieved the same "Email of Death!" Reading your story, I think he feels the same excitement that you do, I've noticed that it's sparked an urgency in him to complete their 2nd album and to look for new challenges in the future. A guy from RoadRunner Records has been scouting them for a while now, hopefully something comes from that (Nickleback fan here)...

Anyway, before we left for L.A., SwingHouse bound, I downloaded all of the singer's music that were invited in the first acceptance email that Alex sent out (At least the people that I could find) and you were someone that I thought had a real chance, much they way that I felt about Fuller. I thought you had the ability to sing in a high pitch yet present a grungy tone, much like Lane Staley did from Alice in Chains, but you also showed on some of your softer songs that you can cleanly and clearly sing with emotion. I knew without ever hearing your actual "FUEL AUDITION" that you will one day make a name for yourself.

I rarely feel this way about singers other than Fuller, but the individuals that were invited to L.A. besides the two of you were already frontmen for large bands just off the charts. Unfortunately, neither of you made the second cut, but it looks like after all the auditioning Fuel did, they want the American Idol star Chris Daughtry (ExtraTV Interview). As much as I hate to say it, the guy does comes with millions of fans and is a sure bet that their new CD will go Platinum within a day or two! Nonetheless, Congrats on getting as far as you did and if you're ever playing in the Detroit area, email me to let me know!

Here's Fuller's Audition that earned him his second audition... I hope you enjoy it!

Keep Rockin',
