I have probably seen the movie Doc Hollywood over 30 times. I know, ridiculous, right? Here is the thing though, I don't know why but I love that movie! I mean I can't turn the channel when it is on. I have to watch it and I can't explain to you the joy I felt when I found it at the video store on sale for two dollars.

I used to be a little embarrassed about my love for Doc Hollywood but now I embrace it!! Why not?

Have a great weekend!

I know exactly what you mean. I feel the same about the movie The Birdcage. Makes me feel good every time I watch it. Seen it so many times yet I still laugh at it. Maybe its like "comfort food"?

I love movies like "Doc Hollywood".
They are movies made with a conscience.
They allow us to reflect on the character and ask ourselves "Are there aspects of this character that I can relate to?" And, alot of the time, we're allowed to walk back into the world a little bit smarter, a little bit happier, and, subconsciencely, with intent on changing the world - even if only in small ways.

Remember in "Back to the Future" when Doc Brown came back from the future at the end of the movie and told marty that he and his girlfriend needed to go with him to the future? Nobody remembers that he was powering his vehicle with alternative fuel.

Anyway. Glad you enjoyed the movie. Thanks for allowing us to remember the highlights of the film - like that HUMONGOUS pig.
