I've visited it last year, but cannot remember if I saw all that you've seen...the Rothko is amazing... my favorite american museum is the NY Moma... enormous museum and nice architecture!!

The Diebenkorn and Kline are both nice.

no the permanent collection on the second floor is 99% abstract and 1 % surrealist
i did about 3 laps on the second floor

Great collection of visuals, sneaky, i was there the same day 08.08.08 as you were, my kahlo entry was at 12:30pm, the treat for me was the chinese contemporary work, i appreciate contemporary art the most, from 1950 to now.

we might of bumped elbows

i got there at 3:30 i lived in sf for 5 years and i did all things i didnt do when i lived there on the the eighth like
japanese tea garden glolden gate and then went to moma :) chinese contemporary work was powerful stuff
did you see the round cage guy with feathers? wow
