LOCAL RADIO GROUP IS BULLS***!!!

Ok kids. Here it comes, and with both barrels.
Here's a story about a BIIIIG Broadcast Company that you all know and love.
It's NOT in Destin.
This is NOT a radio war trying to get ratings kinda thing. This is on a more personal level, and it doesn't really involve me, my ratings, or the show I do. It's a heartwarming story of how a corporate broadcast company does things, and it involves a guy I've recently had the priviledge of calling my friend and his daughter.

OH....don't bother picking up the phone. This is MY MySpace, not KROCKS, not Star Broadcasting, but mine.
Well, and Tom's. Whatever.
There's this guy see....that used to work for one of the *INSERT LARGE CORPORATE NAME HERE* properties. The MANAGERS OF SAID COMPANY, in their infinite wisdom said "Hey, Mr. hard working single Dad...we know you're trying to raise a child on your own, but we really just have no use for you anymore so kindly pack your desk and leave".
Ok. Fair enough. It HAPPENS. So what does one do when say...they're a car salesman, and lose their job? They go to another car lot, right? If there are cutbacks at the hospital, the nurse goes to another hospital to get a job, right? Point is, if your chosen career is what it is, then that's what you go get a job doing, right?
Back to the story. Our hero takes his licks like a good boy and gracefully walks out the door. Days later, fate puts him on the doorstep of ANOTHER local radio station who says "Hey, our budget is tight but you're trying to raise a child, and you've DAMN sure got skills, so here's a job for you."
So, move forwards a few weeks. Company A sends Company B a letter saying that their new employee is under a non compete and cannot work in a similar capacity for 6 months.
Mind you, you're FORCED to sign this if you want a job. Nobody walks in and says "Hey...I would like to ensure that if this doesn't work out, I'll be on unemployment for 6 months", so they MAKE you sign this paper so you can have a job.
As a side note, I was NEVER ASKED to sign a non compete with K-Rock, because they're bullshit, and my owner knows they're bullshit and respects his people enough that he wouldn't jack with their livelihood.
So..back to the story.....
So, essentially they don't care that the guy may not be able to put food on the table, pay the light bill, buy clothes for his little girl as long as their mighty Non-Compete is not violated. They would RATHER ruin the guy, then let him go to work.
Hell, he would still be working THERE but they didn't want him! Can you imagine kicking someone outta the house under the pretense they couldn't go into anyone ELSES house for 6 months? It's the SAME DAMN THING.
Is he so strong on the air that he could cost you ratings? Then REHIRE THE GUY! If he's not that big of a deal, then stop being assholes!
SOMEONE over there is reading this, I assure you. Someone has called them and told them, or copied it and sent it.
Dig this.

I have friends in other forms of The Media that like to stir shit WAAAAY more than I do and if you think I'm playing TRY ME.
You can't get me fired.
The worst you can do is get me a good talking to by MY boss, and he might CHEW MY ASS...but he won't make me take this down. He understands, appreciates and respects 1st ammendment rights. Give it a whirl....
IF YOU DON'T WANT THE GUY THEN LET HIM GO TO WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Respectfully, before someone tries to explain a non-compete to me, I know full well their legal binding nature. We deal with them all the time in my line of work.
A Non Compete SHOULD protect you say...if I just up and left and went to work at a competing radio station. It SHOULD NOT let you ruin a guys credit, make him go without electricity, or not let him take care of his child JUST BECAUSE you want to show everyone what a big company you are.
This page has over 10,000 hits and averages about 50 a day. That's not alot.
Until they all start copying and pasting and forwarding, which is what I'm asking everyone to do.

This isn't fair to this guy. He's a damn nice guy who's getting railroaded and that just SUCKS.
