Love the music/performance...Gosh, I became de-fanned when it comes to Common some years back..not his music, but 'him.' Gave all the music I had of his to pals & fam. But it wasn't too bad watching him here--suppose cause I'm in 'your' space. You're wondering why?...lol. Okay, years ago you performed here in NYC @ S.O.Bs, he was w/u. Only at a show of yours' or at S.O.B.s especially, one can run into fellow astrologers & metaphysicians. I was talking to a sista, telling her how both of y'all were sun & moon, Fish. She couldn't believe it.. Of course I didn't tell her my source (Myra) . She ups & says, "I'ma ask him." She walked up to Common to inquire, just as warm, nice, & friendly..nothing flirty...sincere, like a sista of like-mind. He behaved like a total Dick! Arrogant & dismissive, like he was Jay-Z, or someone of the like? We couldn't believe what we were witnessing.

In that one moment of his operating in ego, from his lower vibratory rate (vs. the righteous image he projects on TV), lost him 5 loyal fans. Not that he cares..but on a spiritual plane--it does matter. The whole night wasn't awash though, you gave a good performance..that was the night you told us that 'fear' was the opposite of Love..not 'hate.' That hate derives from Fear. I read this stuff in spiritual books, yet it still has a different impact when someone voices it. Thanx.

Moreover, that's the same night I met Anthony Hamilton... & I'll just leave it at that .

Great video! I especially like the fact that you and Common perform "The Light" together. One day I was telling my boyfriend about my ideal love and I used 'The Light' and 'Come Close' as examples because everybody can feel the love that you and Common had/have for each other.
