I am pleased to announce that I am not a politician! Not sure what that has to do with this blog, but hey - I went with what I was feelin'..
For anyone who was remotely in touch with the social and music scene back in the late 80's and early 90's, you would have been well aware of the local boys who became legends in a kick-ass band called SAGE. Many of you know that one of their guitarists, Travis Wyrick has become a grammy-nominated producer which is basically because he worked with me on my last record.. Ha!Shredding away on lead guitar was Mr. David Akers - so good that he began being known as "Super Dave" to everyone who saw him play with loads of passion and heart.
A couple of months ago, some basic chit-chat/lie about women from the old days conversation turned into "Maybe we oughta quit dickin' around and consider doing something that'll blow the roof off the city of Knoxville". So, we began the process. First things first; a rhythm section! We struck gold with two of East Tennessee's finest musicians; David Peeples on bass and Brad Williams on drums (Jagstar).. After a brief hiccup with a lead vocalist, good karma took over and we found a hidden gem by the name of Chas Huezman.. We're not sure if he looks as good as he sounds or sounds as good as he looks, but his pipes are sick and he has really added a cool element to the band..
This band is all about entertainment. We are not going to feed our egos and childhood dreams of being Ted Nugent and Eddie Van Halen. Instead, our mission is to provide an entertaining performance that at any given time may include lights, fog, costumes, effects and props. Our material will range from Nickelback to the Bee Gees; The Go-Go's to Oasis; Prince to Led Zeppelin; INXS to Neil Diamond. The show will be non-stop. Every song we play will bring smiles, warm fuzzies and natural highs which'll compel you to shake yo' ass and let go of inhibitions and any stress that may be keeping you from having the time of your life.

Our first show is May 16th at Ray's E.S.G. in Knoxville. It will be a ride you do not want to miss.
