I SIGNED PAPERS THAT BASICALLY TELLS ME TO STFU ABOUT THE OUTCOME OF MY AUDITION OR SOMETHING.. I DIDN'T REALLY READ IT, BUT I CAN'T REALLY SAY WHAT HAPPENED TO MY AUDITION UNTIL THE SHOW AIRS ON TV AROUND APRIL OR SO. IF MY SEGMENT IS AIRED ON TV, THEN YAY, BUT IF NOT, I'LL EXPLAIN WHAT A WONDERFUL and FRUSTRATING TIME I HAD AT THE AUDITIONS. BUT FOR NOW, THIS IS WHAT I CAN SHARE!
Well... it's been awhile since i've wanted to audition for SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. just for the hell of it. but thanks to reiji, friends, and co-workers, i finally got my ass up and get to cali for the damn audition.
Reiji and i went on a mini-road trip to my favorite(
NOT) place: CALI. the drive there was fun, but i was sick, AND STILL SICK NOW DAMNIT. coughing, sore throat, flem and shit. and i didn't know i was gonna pick up pink eye on the way there. CALI GAVE ME PINK EYE DAMNIT. it gets worse.
Chino was kind enough to invite us to
Common Ground's rehearsal @ a UCI Parking garage. Talk about intense rehearsing. Hello to BK and Narnia boy BTW. We left vegas around 6pm and got to their practice around 11pm? maybe. i was sick as hell still. I miss "sessioning" because of the feel i got from CG's rehearsal. i miss performing. =[
We stayed at the rehearsal til about 2am? ish. reiji and i knocked the fuck out in his car while waiting for chino to finish dancing. after that we went to DENNY's and met up with
DEBBIE!. we had a server that called us "senor and senorita." it was funny i guess. at this part, my eyes were getting severely itchy and my throat was in pain... AND i couldn't breathe through my damn nose. i wasn't looking forward to the audition line at all... After denny's around 3:30am debbie and chino went home. reiji and i headed for LA from Irvine. it was foggy as hell. we got to
the orpheum theatre around 4:45ish? PARKING SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. there was already a long line wrapped around the theatre and people with blankets and folding chairs waiting there.
Reiji and I found a reasonable spot to get in line. infront of us, a mother with her son and daughter waiting in line. her daughter was the one auditioning. modern contemp jazz or something. behind us was 3 ladies who flew from ARIZONA. only one auditioned, her friends was just support. she's a fierce dancer. Reiji played his gameboy for awhile, while i sat there, in pain of my eyes, my throat, my head, etc. the sun came up, and the cameras came. reiji and i basically kept avoiding them. LOL I DON'T KNOW WHY. i was scared. i think you can see some of my leg, belly, etc. maybe. we'll wait til it airs. :D when the cameras came, and the line got longer. i can smell the ego of so many people. i saw past SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE contestants there as well like Ryan C., Hok, blah blah. and the lady host that cackles.

The audition process takes FOREVER. everything took FOREVER. that's all i can say. when you think it's done, there's another line that takes FOREVER you have to wait for. =/ both my eyes were leaking and discharging boogers. it was disgusting. LMAO. if i do get aired on TV, i'll be the fat guy with pink eye. ROFL.
LA is really ghetto i think. Reiji and I couldn't find a target, or a walmart, or a gas station. we got lost in santina or santa ria or whatever. the ghetto place. LA's building structures were pretty though, but some guy asked me: "you wanna buy some weed?" i replied: "you got crack?" LMAO. he like walked away. random bums ask you random questions. iunno. it was weird.
After day 1 of the auditions. reiji had some sleep, i haven't had any every since we left vegas. i'm used to it i guess. HAR HAR. THANKS DEBBIE FOR LETTING US STAY AT YOUR HOUSE! YOU ARE AWESOME. debbie and chino took us out to this wonderful japanese place. it was kinda like Ichiza here in vegas, but better. the food was so good, then after that, a yogurt place. i was too frustrated at my eyes to even really appreciate those things, but i was in so much pain.. >.< we stayed at debbie's that night and woke up early for day 2. dun dun dunnn... *CENSORED AGAIN*
then HOMEWARD BOUND. TRAFFFIIICCC SUCKS TRAFFIC IS GAY IN CALI. we kept missing our exits or going the wrong way. then the navigation system sent us to this toll roads or whatever. LOL we hella skipped the toll booth areas. i hope they don't send reiji a ticket in the mail. LOL.
but yeah the drive back was fun i guess. i couldn't wait to get back to vegas. Cali just isn't for me. and PINK EYE IS GAY. lmao. 90% of the time the camera was on me, my eyes were leaking, and it always looked like i was crying. LOLOL. oh well.
