Tomorrow night we play a very interesting show.
If you dig poetry, especially Irish poetry, you should not miss it.
The Duke English Department invited us to open for a
Pulitzer-Prize-winning poet's garage band called "Rackett."
Paul Muldoon is the poet (although, there might be other poets in the band too).

It's free at the Duke Coffeehouse.

Rackett is "perhaps the only garage-rock band in the world with a
Pulitzer Prize-winning poet as a member." (The New Yorker, November
2006)

P.S. Notes:
While selecting songs for the set, Domi suggested our songs with
literary connections, ala Spleen and Derrida, but we also selected
Breathe, our only song in English.  JeanLuc was happy about this,
because he thinks Breathe qualifies as a beautiful poem.  Domi claimed
her songs, while not in English, are also worthy poems and are in fact
better than Didier's scripted Breathe.  JeanLuc, of course, can no
longer understand French after that terrible tractor accident on the
family farm years ago (long story), but he still took offense at
Domi's claim and began throwing drumsticks at her.  Domi blocked them
all and sent JeanLuc tumbling into his drum kit.  JeanLuc patched his
snare while Didier shook his head.  Solange remained in his comfy
chair eating dessert.
