Niestroy "Ashamed" 7" EP   OX Fanzine #85
Naja, eine Ausnahme machen doch: „Fascist pig / You have no rights!" Ute Borchardt © by Ox-Fanzine

Niestroy "Cries of Pain" review by Vern Obnoxious
I was waiting for a band to come through my desk that would bring me back to the good'ole 80's and the birth of hardcore. The first track "Announcement" is stripped to the bone hardcore 4/4 progression verse/chorus full of angst then done. When they break into there 2nd track and stomp on the double bass. It has a Exploited "Beat The Bastards" feel to it. I hear an american influence along the lines of the Cro-Mags & MDC along with some british anarcho bands like Discharge and Disorder. The production seems like they captured a good live sound. This is aggressive hardcore that rips from front to back. My personal favorite is Frustration. It has a d-beat progession as most of the verses do but there choruses are melodic and linear to there songs. If your a fan of no holds barred hardcore like myself this is a must have gem for the collection.

 Chewing Cunts Fanzine

Hailing from Bremen, Germany, the lyrics are suprisingly in English, which suits me because now i know what these lot are about. I was suprised (maybe through ignorance) to learn that this band had been together since 1988. Fans of Antisect, Conflict, Discharge etc will appreciate this album, they largely focus on the animal rights subjects discussing similar politics and ideas as the first two of the aforementioned bands. Theres enough fuzzed up bass and guitar to shake down the the Uk's Houses Of Parliment with enough volume, its gritty and powerfull. From the Opening track Announcement it flows nicely alway through to the rather unexpected Headshot, which to me is almost Crass-esque, but with a twist, the song definitly stands out on the album anyway, its one of my favourites! A stand out track other than that are definitly Concentration with its Discharge style tempo and unforgiving attack. On the last track Cries Of Pain i got a similar shiver and feeling about animal rights as i did when i first heard Antisect's In Darkness There Is No Hope (that album by Antisect was a catalyst in the decision to become a vegitarian).

Well after a few listens this album really grew on me. Its a true crust affair but not so rusty, the vocals give this band the extra punch, much more melodic vocal than most of Niestroy's contempories within this genre.

NIESTROY- Cries of Pain  by ROB/ ANARCHO BANDS AND FANS
(NET ZINE)

These guys hail from Germany and deliver 11 short sharp shocks of anarchistic hardcore. In some strange way they remind me of what would happen if you crossed DOOM with RUDIMENTARY PENI,maybe its just me?? Each track is little over a minute and lyrics are short but straight to the point (mainly concerning animal rights),and the raw guitar,i just love!!"Concentration" is my personal fave here but all tracks are really good and packed with aggression. The guys have a healthy DIY attitude, and the cd is only a couple of euros which is well worth it in my mind,.Go ahead and check them out, they are well up for trading this cd and have also just started a small distro so lend some support.

Genetically Stupid Fanzine

This punk band hails from Germany but they sing in english. 11 songs to get you juiced up!
Basic punk that reminds me of stuff that was coming out of the UK in '82. A lot  of these songs would've fit nicely on the Punk & Disorderly compilations. My favorite track is
Announcement but all of them kicked but.
Track this down!
