FINAL SEASON

Welcome to the numb

It’s alright to succumb

To the remains

Of a final season

So please Lenna, won’t you hush

You’ll live again in the sagebrush

Beyond this final season

Don’t be afraid to yield

Into a Crescent City field

And leave behind

This final season

Crawl out from your rusty cage

Smile and turn the page

Past the final season

I know your limbs are weary

And your children’s eyes are teary,

But they will survive

This final season

Shed the husk of flesh and bone

To where you won’t need a chaperone

After the final season

Just like orchard leaves that crack

Let go of breath, don’t look back

And recognize the final season

You’re in a fragile and delicate state,

But this time heaven won’t wait

Here in the final season
