For those of you who knew that my longtime high school friend Pina, had bone cancer ... she went to be with Jesus on Jan. 16/07.  Exactly three months ago to the day, she received Jesus Christ as her Savior and told me she 'knew' she was going to heaven now. She felt that peace that surpasses all understanding. One of the last things she said before passing away was, "I've packed my wedding dress, I'm ready to go."  Wow ... how wonderful is that?  Jesus, her groom was coming to take his bride. She's truly dancin' with her Savior in a gown of pure white. She's got a new body and feels not an ounce of pain.  Praise be to God, and to Him be all the glory!

Beautiful my dear friend,

May our Lord hold you close.

Blessings

Rosanna,

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but praise God for her salvation. This past year, I went through a cancer scare and spent time in and out the hospital. I know how hard it is on the family and friends. I'm rejoicing about your description of Jesus taking her as her bride. It gives me hope and reminds me of the correct perspective to keep. Thank God I am doing well and have no sign of cancer. But regardless, this life is but for a moment. Heaven and being with Jesus is the purpose of real life. I pray God blesses you richly for sharing your heart and His light through your ministry.

Rosanna,
Ray & I have been praying for Pina, and that God would wrap His loving arms around her, and make her very aware of His love and His presence. Praise God, He decided He wanted her home with Him. How awesome about what she said about the wedding dress...she knew where she was going. While I know that you will miss her, I also know you are rejoicing that she is with our Lord.
She has a new body, no more pain, and you will see her again someday in heaven. You were an amazing friend to her.
love you, dear friend,
Liss

Treasure in heaven, dear friend - treasure in heaven. I'm sorry for your loss & the loss of her family, but rejoice in her gain. with love... kara

"'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.'"- Rev 21:3-4

"What you sow is not made alive unless it dies. And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain--perhaps wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.
...
There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." - 1 Cor 15:36-37, 40-44

Rosanna, I just now saw this blog. I was wondering about Pina.
Im sorry for your loss but it is awesome that Pina received Jesus as her Savior and is a child of God now. Its great that she finally experienced the peace that passes all understanding, and totally cool about the wedding dress. May God bless you for being such a great friend to her!

Lots of love to you,
Julie

My uncle died about a year ago,He was a wonderful man of God And he ministered Gods word openly and with Love most of his life...When He died he told his son that this was not a time of grief but a time of celebration !!! His last request of this world was to have a celebration rather than a dreary funeral service...And so his son made that happen...The whole family is muscians...Country,Bluegrass,& Gospel...We had a hodown and jumped and praised the Lord all afternoon...there was not one sad song played...My aunt said that was the way he wanted it ...and yes she is missing him yet but she is doing much better then I have seen some do escpecially because they were together for close to 60 years...But she continues to minister just as he had...and also as they had together...My uncle led 17 people to the Lord from his death bed and performed a wedding also...He will be missed greatly...It is Ok to grieve the lost, But we must remember they made it to where we are heading...AMEN now thats BEAUTIFUL !!!
