I'm a junky now, turning on MSNBC every night to get my election coverage fix, and this "change" word keeps popping up.  Apparently, there's a new definition of the word that I'm not familiar with. So maybe someone can help me out, because the old definition doesn't seem to work anymore.  Hitting up Websters, the following things would not be change...yet they apparently are, just ask the people speaking about it:

1.  "35 years of experience battling Republicans in the trenches" isn't change, it's business as usual for the Democratic Party...and how is being married to a politician experience, for that matter?  My girlfriend has been dating me for a few years, but she's not putting my job on her resume!

2.  Invoking the name of Ronald Reagan isn't change.  It's continuing the policies of 20-28 years ago, if that's what you actually intend to do.

3.  Turning against a president you were only too happy to rubber-stamp during his terms of office isn't change, unless you want to call it changing your mind when politically expedient.

4.  Since we're talking about changing your mind...reversing your "opinion" on policies you were a proponent of while governor just because you're running for president isn't real change.  It's just a politician being a politician.

5.  A conservative, by definition, is not a change candidate.  Conservatives believe in keeping the status quo.  You don't believe me?  Look it up!

"Change" on it's own doesn't mean shit in this election.  A change to what?  More than likely, a change in name and face only.  But anything could be a change.  Hitler was a change candidate, but there's more than a few people out there who are and were unhappy with that change.
Why don't we throw buzzwords aside, do a little thinking, and (perish the thought) do a little research and actually chose who we think is the best candidate, instead of getting caught up in all the slogans and lip service?  If you ask me, an informed electorate would be a real change, and one for the better.

An informed electorate??? You would have a better chance of finding OZ! The american voter is one of the most stupid species on earth. "he/she only lied, killed , stole, raped, trampled the constitution, violated the bill of rights, usurped power, bypassed the checks and balances, started a phony war, etc. etc. etc. , but they sure do look good in that blue suit..by god!! I'll vote for that!!!"
WTF !!!! If people read the constitution, they would see the part about throwing out all the assholes and starting again. When they cease to be for the people, of the people,...Etc.
The founding fathers would be not only be rolling over in the grave, they would be spinning like a top!! One further rant ...its time to dump the so called Patriot act. It is not patriotic!. It reeks of the homeland type of security that Hitler had in mind when he started the Gestapo/homeland security force. Torture, no habeus corpus, no due process. wire taps, stealing email and reading snail mail!!?? This is America. I don't think so. At least thats not what we were taught in school. Oh yea, That stuff has been revised too. Do yourself a favor and read 1984(its a book, for all you dummies). Then tell me they didn't warn us 60 years ago of what would happen when we stopped caring about what the government/assholes were doing. I love my country, I fear THE government. (not my government) Thats not how its supposed to be. We have become the Evil Empire. Just like they taught us the commies were in the past. To a tee. And without a press that questions instead of rubber stamping it will continue...so sad.. If all this shit had happened in the 60's or 70's,people would be in the street screaming and carrying signs and telling THEM to stop it!! A few bottles and rocks thrown in and you have a real live protest. For a good reason. ahhh the good old days!
So now you can go back and bury your head in the sand or play video games and wait for the secret police to come get you.You won't think its funny when it happens. And another thing.. if you tell anyone what they did to you , they will be arrested too!..Don't laugh..its already the law.

over and out from the front line..thanks for getting me fired up Walter.

Obama should spend more time in Detroit. People here are constantly asking me for change.
