3.           PIPPIN                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            April 16 – May 2....

Pippin is the story of Prince Pippin (son of King Charlemagne) and his quest to find purpose and meaning in his life.  A mysterious leading player is blessed with the gift of magic who, with the help of a traveling troupe of players, narrates this classic musical comedy.  Pippin traverses through the trials of war, sex and politics before finding himself out amongst the peasants away from the wealth and privilege of royal life where he meets a good widow, Catherine, and her lovable son, Theo.  Despite advice from his power-hungry father, his scheming step-mother, Fastrada, his muscle-headed half-brother, Louis, and his frisky grandmother, Bertha, will Pippin find his purpose, meaning, and happiness in his life?  PIPPIN features classic musical theatre songs like: “Corner of the Sky”, “Magic to Do”, “Morning Glow”, “No Time at All” and “Love Song” with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (WICKED, GODSPELL, CHILDREN OF EDEN), and was originally directed and choreographed on Broadway by the legendary Bob Fosse.....

4.           THE BOYS NEXT DOOR                                                                                                                                                                 June 4 – 20                         ....

The place is a communal residence in a New England city, where four mentally challenged men live under the supervision of an earnest, but increasingly "burned out" young social worker named Jack. Norman, who works in a doughnut shop and is unable to resist the lure of the sweet pastries, takes great pride in the huge bundle of keys that dangles from his waist; Lucien P. Smith has the mind of a five-year-old but imagines that he is able to read and comprehend the weighty books he lugs about; Arnold, the ringleader of the group, is a hyperactive, compulsive chatterer, who suffers from deep-seated insecurities and a persecution complex; while Barry, a brilliant schizophrenic who is devastated by the unfeeling rejection of his brutal father, fantasizes that he is a golf pro. Mingled with scenes from the daily lives of these four characters, where "little things" sometimes become momentous (and often very funny), are moments of great poignancy when, with touching effectiveness, we are reminded that the disabled, like the rest of us, want only to love and laugh and find some meaning and purpose in the brief time that they are allotted on this earth.....

5.           THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES                                                                                                                                                                            July 23 – August 1                                 ....

An Obie Award-winning whirlwind tour of a forbidden zone, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES introduces a wildly divergent gathering of female voices, including a six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, a Bosnian survivor of rape, and a feminist happy to have found a man who "liked to look at it."  One of the most controversial and relevant theatre pieces of the last decade, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES “confront words to demystify and disarm them” (AP), in order to empower women to understand and appreciate their own body and, in turn, themselves.....

Arnold Lobel's well-loved characters hop from the page to the stage in Robert and Willie Reale's musical A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD, KIDS.  Conceived by Mr. Lobel's daughter, Adrianne Lobel, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD remains true to the spirit of the original stories as it follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation in the spring, they proceed to plant gardens, swim, rake leaves and go sledding.  The two friends learn valuable life lessons along the way about friendship and rejoice in the attributes that make each of us different and special.....

7.           ASSASSINS                                                                                                           Sept. 17 – Oct. 3    ....

ASSASSINS’ is the curious story of nine individuals who over time have attempted to assassinate the President of the United States. The show explores the inner motives of each assassin. Eventually, each individual must confront the fact that committing the ultimate crime failed to assuage their personal problems.  With a score by Stephen Sondheim, ASSASSINS takes an unflinching, uneasy and sometimes funny look at individuals who are so disenfranchised, lost, and alone in their own country that they attempt the most unthinkable of crimes.  Thought-provoking and controversial, ASSASSINS is a show that forces us to take a look at the very people in our country who often times go unnoticed.....

Music & Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim....

Book by John Weidman....

Directed by Damron Russell Armstrong....
