If you're in NYC, or know somebody within a reasonable driving distance, please tell them to come to the show.  It's a great one.  The Spring Standards were just added to the bill and they're awesome.  I'm on first.

Chris Cubeta and the Liars Club
http://www.myspace.com/chriscubetaandtheliarsclub
Chris Cubeta and The Liars Club is a brash, Americana rock band from Brooklyn led by compelling and charismatic frontman Chris Cubeta. Cubeta is a relentless songwriter whose lyrics combine nuance-soaked imagery with incisive observations. The band's sound is equally eclectic, combining the wispy, sensitivity of the singer/songwriter with the unbridled thrill of rock and roll.

April Smith

April Smith is tiny but you can often find her with her band, The Great Picture Show, rocking the stage in big places, including at this summer's Lollapalooza alongside Depeche Mode, The Beastie Boys, The Killers, and Jane's Addition. She stands somewhere around 5'2", but she belts her lyrics like a gal two times her size on new tracks like "Wow and Flutter" and "Colors". April's retro pop sound, carnivalesque melodies and jangly, suitcase-beating spirit will have you spinning like a whirling dervish! Her sly wit, cheeky attitude, sticky cadences, and profound lyrics are brilliantly reflected in her new material.

The Spring Standards
http://www.myspace.com/thespringstandards
The Spring Standards (formerly Old Springs Pike) are an energetic force of three-part harmony circling over a rock n' roll sound with an old country aftertaste. From small towns to big cities, they explode on stage with spirit, spontaneity, and a style all their own. MTV's John Norris says "They willingly embrace dissonance, and their execution is impeccable, from their tight, CSN-worthy vocal harmonies to their wickedly intense percussive power."

Bryan Dunn

Bryan Dunn has been performing both solo and in bands in Austin, Tx. and NYC since 1993. The projects have ranged from straightforward rock groups to Irish folk songs and ultimately to Bryan Dunn and the Convenients which combine all the myriad influences into one glorious rock and roll mess. His uncle, who toured in a rock band when he was younger, first taught him how to play guitar when he was 14, and since then, he's been playing and writing songs whether or not anybody was around to listen to them. He devoured 60s rock in high school, especially the Beatles, but after moving to Austin for college, he started listening to anything available in the eclectic music scene there. After moving to NYC and having some success as the front man for Simple Thing and the guitarist for Maggie Kim, he struck out on his own, put together the basic lineup for the Convenients, and plays frequent shows both solo and with the band around the city.
