Rape at the Burlington Reservoir

The Burlington Police Department is investigating a rape that occurred recently at the Burlington reservoir.  The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties, about 6' 0" tall and thin, wearing baggy basketball style shorts and an oversized sweatshirt.  This assault took place between 4:30 – 5:30 PM.  This reservoir is located in the northeast part of town and borders the communities of Wilmington and Woburn. 

Anyone who has seen anyone suspicious or acting strangely in this area is asked to notify the Burlington Police Department at 781-272-1212.  All people using this area are being asked to be extra vigilant, to be aware of their surroundings and to refrain from walking in this area alone.  The case is currently under investigation by Detective Anne Marie Browne.
