Baltimore native and Hip Hop veteran Sisqó visited Madrid for the first time and our own Zoe King had a chance to sit down with him for a few minutes. This is what the singer of the "Thong Song" had to say.
CC: Welcome to Madrid! Is this your first time in Spain?
Sisqó: Yeah, we just got off the plane.
CC: So, you haven't had a chance to experience any of the Spanish culture yet?
Sisqó: No, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. We will be back.
CC: You are very well known for your flamboyant style and "unusual" haircuts. What can we expect to see next?
Sisqó: I always say expect the unexpected.
CC: You've been linked to famous women from all over the world during your career, what's your opinion on Spanish women?
Sisqó: Well, I love Latin women, especially Shakira
CC: What side of Sisqó are we going to see in your new album "Last Dragon"?
Sisqó: It's different to the others in the respect that I'm including a lot more ballads on this album, and its all together more balanced.
CC: You' re going to appear on "Gone Country", a reality TV show being aired in January about established musicians moving to Nashiville, USA to learn and record country music, competing for the chance to release a country record. What attracted you to participate?
Sisqó: Well, I'm a musician above all, and I wanted to show that it doesn't matter what kind of genre I perform in, I can make it hot!
CC: You've appeared in many movies over the years, including "Get over it" and "Snowdogs". Will we be seeing anymore acting in 2008?
Sisqó: Right now Im just concentrating on my music, but if the right role comes up, you never know.....
CC: Finally, what does the future hold for Sisqó?
Sisqó: This is my sixth album, and I had to take a two year gap in recording due to contractual reasons where I couldn't release anything. Now I'm concentrating on the music and the sky's the limit.
