For me, the biggest compliment I can get (and it's happened 3 or 4 times) is when someone wants to buy a CD for someone else - at steeply reduced discounts, I might add, when dealing directly thru me ;) -

It's no secret that anyone without breast implants, a sex tape, or being over the age of 25 is fighting an uphill battle when it comes to getting any decent exposure in the 21st century music world - (is a sex tape ever decent exposure - perhaps not but as a crazy coworker of mine once lived out, any press is good press)

In any case, the strongest thing I can bring to the table is the album and the songs - I'm too lazy, too broke, too unknown to tour, and I don't have agents and labels beating a path to my door - (the moat might be stopping them) - so when one person tells another person and plays the album for them, that's as cool as it gets for me - you being willing to share the album with someone else.  So many thanks to those of you who play the CD for someone else, and then they get a copy or you get one for them - it will encourage me to do another one someday ;)

I've also been sitting on something I haven't revealed much of yet till just recently - I am awaiting confirmation of a review in Maverick Country Magazine - in fact, I'm hearing words to the effect it's kind of a big review - (as in 5 stars) but I will withhold any real joy until I read it - I can confirm the review - I suppose I could stop being cheap and just buy the PDF but a real copy will be in my mail slot soon and I may never get this level of anticipation or this good a review again, so like all good things, I will take it slow and savor the anticipation, only to be let down by unrealistic expectations, from which I may get another good song ;) - More updates as they are pending
