We received some very valuable feedback over the first two weeks of the Clickathon. Several people told us they were confused by the fact that there were multiple places to click. There was additional confusion because after clicking there was no indication a donation had been made; a person was taken to the article about how we're spreading the word about the Clickathon.
As you probably know, the Clickathon is being done in conjunction with an international online marketing competition. The intention was to create synergy with the Clickathon helping the entry in the marketing competition and the marketing competition bringing attention to the Clickathon. However, in retrospect that strategy appears to have caused confusion and actually work against us.
After prayerful consideration, we sensed God leading us to make a dramatic change to the AIDS Clickathon web page, cleaning it up and making it clearer by providing a single link to click. Instead of taking you to the article, that link now takes you to a second Clickathon page thanking you for your click, showing the total amount raised, and providing additional ways you can help. While these changes may hurt our chances in the marketing competition, we are confident they will bring clarity and new momentum to the Clickathon itself, which is ultimately what matters most.
We invite you to visit the new AIDS Clickathon page. If you already clicked once before these, you can click again and another donation be made on your behalf.
We would appreciate your comments on these changes as well as your prayers for tomorrows Fox 13 News interview.
