hello there m'amigos,

so since it's been an age since i've updated this little space, i've realised i can't seem to post up my little calendar of events as i used to. if anyone can enlighten me please do.

one of these days i'll finish my new logo and sort out my new website and things will be back to normal, but for now i just wanted to give you a little bit of info on what's going on for the summer.

turning pirate is excited to present the lovely miss lisa hannigan and the boys in ireland for some shows back on home ground. we've been jumping from one land mass for another all year (hence the delay in sorting out my website), and we're excited to be back home for some shows in the summer.

It's looking something like this at the moment:

July 4th  Lisa Hannigan, opening for the lovely Josh Ritter in the marquee in Cork
July 5th  Lisa Hannigan, in O'Keeffe's as part of the lovely Junction Festival in Clonmel
July 7th  Lisa Hannigan, in Electric Avenue in Waterford
July 8th  Lisa Hannigan, in Kitlers in Kilkenny
July 9th  Lisa Hannigan, in the Roisin Dubh in Galway
July 10th Lisa Hannigan, in the Roisin Dubh in Galway
July 31st Lisa Hannigan, as part of the LeCheile Festival in Meath
August 1st Lisa Hannigan, as part of the Skibereen Festival in West Cork
August 5th and 6th in a Church in Limerick, I'll get the name of the place over to you next week!
August 7th Lisa Hannigan, in Wexford, i'll get the name of that venue over to you next week too!

for the 23th, 24th, 25th and 26th of July, turning pirate, with the help of deirdre molloyzer the pirate, will be working on the comedy carnival run by aiken promotions in the iveagh gardens. we've been supplying the festival with a host of carnival buzz for the last few years, from bands to jugglers to clowns to stilt walkers and whoever else we can find along the way, so pop down and say hello.

i'm also very excited to be able to tell you that roesy, one of my favourite irish songwriters is coming home for some small quiet under the radar gigs to give people a sneak preview of some tracks from his new album. so keep an eye here for more info on those shows in august.

see ye on the road,

una

Una,

To do the calender:

Go to customize profile, click on modules, add calender.

I think that might work.  Maybe not the same, but something.  Still trying to figure it all out myself.
