My friends, it's been awhile since we have spoken so I thought I would drop you a line. or a bloggy bulletin thingie.
Lot's of crazy stuff going on in our little world ...
First of all we are getting really excited for our show at the Roxy on 7/9. It looks like we will be able to pull off some pretty cool surprises after all. we also have some great support bands BLOOD CAT LOVE, into the presence and useless keys. Please buy your tickets now and make sure you don't miss this one...
Last week, I was visiting my dear friend Jeff (from Human Waste Project) at his gig playing bass for Peter Murphy when out of the blue Peter Murphy asked me to come onstage and sing with him!! PETER MURPHY! swoon.
He called me up onstage to sing INSTANT KARMA with him and the band. It was an epic and historical moment for me as I wouldn't be doing what I do the way I do it if not for Peter's influence. Peter is still ON FIRE amazing. the show was beautiful and dark and I went home pleased and filled to the brim with delicious red wine... aaaaaahhhhhh still swooning.
A lot of you still have not heard our new band NORMANDIE. I know this because I am still getting messages asking - who is NORMANDIE?
NORMANDIE is AIMEE ECHO, CHELSEA DAVIS and JAMIE MILLER.
we are currently finishing a record in the studio of the Blue Horse and are madly in love- with each other and what we are making. We played our third official show last Sunday at Detroit Bar opening for Chairlift. It was really fun to see all of you who showed up on such last minute notice and to debut 2 new songs... If you missed it we as NORMANDIE are playing this Friday 6/26 at Bar Pink in San Diego and again Friday 7/17 at Alex's Bar in Long Beach.
So just to keep it straight, Normandie shows are Normandie shows... no theSTART songs... theSTART shows are theSTART shows no Normandie songs... BUT theSTART is taking NORMANDIE on tour this Summer! 2 for the price of one...
Beginning July 25 - August 22 all shows will be both theSTART and NORMANDIE!!! It's going to be one hell of a summer tour and you know how we roll so come out and play with us- late night make out parties Dance parties party Parties PARTY! we will be giving away tickets to shows daily thru twitter so FOLLOW US!!!
