I seem to be posting my songs as I write and record them. This Myspace is great for that! I will arrange for Snocaps to make my tracks available for download very soon. I am in a writing and recording phase - focusing on writing new songs for guitar and vocals with the intention of playing out! My plan is to hit the open mics around my area (Boston/Metro area) to give my songs a test drive with live audiences. And then, I hope to get some bookings and share my music with those of you who wish to listen.

I just posted a new song "I Feel" which I began writing last Friday night and finished recording this week. I wrote this song after my unsuspecting dinner for one. I found myself suddenly alone at the dinner table, my daughters were out with their friends, and my husband was on a video shoot - working late - and here I was at the dinner table, just me, my dinner (stir-fry chicken/veggies, basmati rice, and a glass of Cabernet) and my movie rental "Once" (very inspirational and filled with emotional honesty and great music!). I sat at the table with my journal and pen ready for any thoughts and feelings brewing in my heart. The result was this song, "I Feel". It came from my experience of loneliness vs. much-needed solitude, longings for ease and grace in my creative life, and my beginning awareness of ego versus awakening to my Divine Essence - being in The Now (Yes, I'm reading "A New Earth" by Eckert Tolle. Isn't everyone?) I decided to record this song with only my guitar and my voice - a quiet performance/recording that depicts the Friday evening of rare solitude and silence that supported the emergence of this song. I seem to enjoy having a multitude of harmony voices in my songs - I guess this is from my background of singing in many different choruses and choirs. I love harmony with many voices singing - it reminds me that there are Angels among us.

Thanks for reading and visiting.

Love and Light,
Bernadette

Wow! Thanks for continuing to share what is moving and expressing thru you! I love "Once" too and was inspired...

"I Feel" is one that takes me places too...
