So,
JayLa is out of town, and guess who got left with the keys to the kingdom...I mean, the backbreaking responsibility...THAT'S RIGHT.
You would have thought that the beer coolers would be empty by now, and the police would have cordoned off the area...but it's still early in the week for all of that...
We've added a slew of upcoming events, check out
www.heirloomarts.org for a full listing, or a
mostly full calendar. I'm most pleased to see the Safe To Swim Festival coming back this year. It will be held Friday and Saturday (sept 04 & 05) on the Danbury Green (that's Ives St. for the layman) and Sunday afternoon at thee ol' Heirloom. In case of rain on Saturday, I guess we'll bring all of the lil fellas over to our place for punch & cookies.
I guess some of us should be happy that metal is coming back to the Heirloom this month, with Sacred Oath on Sept 10th, and Priority #1 on the 18th...I know I am. Call it kismet, babe.
Aaand, there's a Trash Or Treasure tag sale type event coming on Sunday, September 20th. There will be music, and stuff, and things, and yeah. It'll be pretty cool. Trash American Style will be setting up shop (along with other vendors), and the Heirloom will be selling off some gear; guitar amps, speakers, stuff that we just don't need...hell, they don't match the curtains. Remember, at the Heirloom, we pass the savings onto dudes.
We still have some plans in motion to improve the main room. So don't be surprised if things look different the next time you come down, or if some bastard hands you a paintbrush...it's in the stars, babe.
While JayLa and company are turning Japanese this week, I (with the help of my evil minions) have been renovating our Green Room (that's the room that artistes like to lounge in) and beautifying what will become our Art Gallery. So there's news for ya.
Music all month long, and Art later on this fall.
