If you're a regular visitor to my page, you might have noticed a few change-ups lately.
Earlier this year, I wrote about some of the changes taking place at my writer's home, sweet home, BlogCritics Magazine. We (as in the imperial we) have become part of the Technorati family. Getting used to that hasn't made a lot of difference in what and/or how I write. But it has widened the horizons as far as the reach of my readers. To help make that as effective as possible, I've done some growing of my own.
One thing that I've done, and can be seen at the top of this, is hooking up the MySpace work I do here with the blogosphere community of Technorati and have it be a viable link between the two. Yes, that's what the teensy box does and you can help expand on that when ever you like something I've written. Click on that little green box. It will make it's way to Technorati. Then I'll get a gold star for the day...or something like that. Sometimes things do come in small packages. Or, in no package at all. Because another link to Technorati for me was becoming a tag descripter. Make the right search on their site and the information you are reading about a subject just might be one that I've written myself...and which is an ongoing process.
The biggest splash has been on the BlogCritics website. It just had a facelift and looks beau-ti-ful. It's interface is smoother and transitioning from one subject to another, even searches, are easier than ever. Couple that with a little fresh paint and a few sparkles and voila!
To go along with the new look comes new buttons to help you find your way to there from here. Thanks to one of my fellow BC writers and code-magic pals, Jet, the buttons that I'm sporting on my profile and at the top of this blog are brand-spankin' new and coordinate with the new BC look. I especially like the way the colors he used really pop against my profile background. Must be part of his magic.
Here's what they look like:

Clicking on the top will take you to the BlogCritics home page. Choose the bottom one and you'll whisk away to the list of all my articles that BC has published.
Go on...try it. Check out our new home page. It doesn't matter what you're into. Whether your particular bent is TV/Film, Music, Culture, Sci/Tech, Books, Politics, Sports, Gaming or Tastes or any combination of those mentioned, BC has it's finger on the pulse.
I think one of the coolest parts of BC is the fact that they have always been interactive. Read something you disagreed with or info wanted to add? Each piece has a comment box for just that purpose. And know when you do that, your ideas will be read and responded to...not only by the writer, but other commentators as well. I know there are other sites that advocate it, but not all of them reciprocate.
There you have it. BlogCritics Magazine had a major facelift. And came out all the better for it. But that's just one pixie's opinion. Whatta you think?
