Geek-Gasm is very proud to announce our primary sponsor, FanExpo Canada. For those that don't know (an honestly what kind of Geek are you if you don't) the FanExpo is sort of like Mecca for geeks. I'm pretty sure the fraternity of Lambda Lambda Lamda decreed that all nerds must journey there at least once in their lives. It really is something to see, if not for all the cool stuff there, just to see the sheer size of it and know that there are thousands of people out there just like you (think 'Message in a Bottle' by the Police, except they're all filled with Mountain Dew).

It's also the place to see the most TV and movie celebrities in one place at the same time. This year I'm especially excited because they're going to have every Darth Vader together at last (Hayden Christensen, Jake Lloyd, David Prowse - yeah I know there's no James Earl Jones but he never wore the suit OK, he was just the voice). They've even got Chad Vader!

The first thing I thought of when I heard about this was the awesome potential of such a gathering. I mean, a room full of Darth Vaders! Yes! I'm torn between wanting to see a sort of Highlander death duel to determine the one and true Vader, or seeing them form a kick ass Iron Maiden tribute band and playing 'Run to the Hills' while Stormtroopers strafe the crowd with blaster fire (why Maiden? As someone who is 'more machine than man' I think he would appreciate classic metal). Maybe they could do the duel after the concert... What a party!
