All right, then. We've had this page for quite some time now, and I think it's about time I started a blog. So I am. We've been working on a lot of new material, some originals, like my "Curious Lodger" and James' "Bug Wrangler," and some traditional tunes of Lesley's calling. It's good to be working on new stuff, and it'll keep the bartenders at O'Toole's from making snide comments like, "Yeah, I have a request: new songs." Tossers. But what the hell. They're right.

We're stoked to be nominated for a Na Hoku Award for Best Rock Album. I'm surprised to find that I really want to win. I figure it couldn't hurt us in our efforts to get to Ireland to play. It's funny because my homie Fern is also up for it. We had drinks last night at the wrap party for my sister's improv class. "You're going down," I menaced. We laughed like hell. It'll be a strange event to attend, but the band is going. Lesley keeps chiding me about me having an outfit picked out. I'm sure she will look dynamite.
