Hi all,
Finally up and standing tall after my hiatus. I was out of action for three years. My last connection to the internet was at 56kbs! It's jarring. It's a new world now. It feels damn good to get back into touch with all my old friends. Many people said things that moved me and I thank you for making me feel so welcome.
DEADFELLAS 2: Electric Boogaloo is done. I'm basically working on the third part. When it's all done I'm either gonna release it as one long work or split them up. It will be damn nice to see the first one come back into print. Delirium Books (www.deliriumbooks.com) is supposed to publish it.
I've been sitting on a lot of work over the last three years. I'm not sure why. Maybe I just needed to step back a bit and live. From 1998 until 2003 I did nothing but write and I mean *nothing*. One day I just looked up and realized that I wasn't truly living. Now I'm working on finding a balance between being a writer and being a person. I finished DARK HOLLOW, my collection of gothic tales, back in 2003. I have a novella entitled "The Witch, The Murderer, and the Man in Black" that I feel is the the best thing I've ever written. My dream is to see it realized as a CGI cartoon starring the late Vincent Price. If anyone has any good ideas about a publisher let me know. I'd love to get this stuff out there so that everyone can read it.
I'd also like to realize my dream of working in the comic art form. If there are any artists out there that are interested in collaborating with me drop me a line. I see this as a 50/50 project, either working from a new and original script of mine, or one of my older short stories.
stay safe,
David Whitman
