Survival of the Fittest

Sometimes it seems that things are never going to get any better
There are moments in everyone's life when they wonder if they can go on
When they wonder if it's worth it
You begin to believe that things will never change
That things will never get better
Never get easier
You begin to believe that your world is darkness, and no matter how you try, you will never see the light of day
Then there are those moments
Gleaming and bright moments that make you realize that there is hope
A glimmer, a sparkle of hope
A light in your darkness
Those moments make you see that things will change
And they will change for the better
Those moments make you see that things will get better
Though you have to let them
And then you see that your world is not darkness, but full of light
Full of love
Full of hope
Those moments come few and far between
Relish them while they're there
Mourn then when they're not
And always keep hope
Because no matter how bad, how dark, or how unchanging your life may seem
If you keep hope in your heart
You will be strong enough to survive
