Christos Hatzis’ multimedia music theatre work CONSTANTINOPLE won last night the 2008 JUNO AWARD in the Classical Composition of the Year category. Recorded and produced by the Gryphon Trio and featuring the voices of Patricia O’ Callaghan and Maryem Tollar in addition to the trio, CONSTANTINOPLE was released as a CD by the Analekta record label in January 2007.
This is the second Juno Award for Hatzis in the past three years and the fourth nomination in the past six years.
