So, I saw a show yesterday on f/x about two families switching races. It was pretty interesting. The arguments about race that you hear over and over again were discussed. Nothing groundbreaking or original. But what caught my attention, was one of the locations where they shot the show. It was none other than La Crescenta, at Leo's sports bar. I'm not even sure where that is. And I've been living in this area for over 10 years. Maybe I don't know about it because I haven't been legal for all those years. Anyway, kind of made the LOC seem like some last haven for white people in the Los Angeles area. The black father in white makeup strikes up a conversation with one of the white patrons and the dude says shit like, " (it's the) last unaffected bastions of middle-class Caucasian America" and it didn't want/have a lot of "immigration" or change that's affected the surrounding areas of Los Angeles. Yeah. This is where I live. The first thing that came to mind when the bar patron said that was, "where the hell does he live?" Has he never driven down Foothill Blvd.? Has he not seen all of those Korean and Armenian storefronts? I mean all you have to do is stand outside of CV at 3 and see all the different "color" students. Unless he considers yellow to be close enough to white. Anyway, that was just the first episode. I heard that they have another incident happen at the bar. So, I'll be tuning in to see another ignorant bastard run his mouth off. Yay! This is my community.
