While
politicians and world leaders are trying to deal with the issue of climate
change and how to reduce carbon emissions they are turning a blind eye to the
REAL challenge: the end of the oil era! Without cheap oil the modern way of
life will die. Or the other way around, the modern way of life depends on cheap
oil. We have to overstand the depth of this situation. The modern city life, which especially many westerners take for granted, is a fad. After cheap oil is
done it’s all forward to the roots, to mother earth, to a natural way of life.
Universal repatriation!
Do you think
this will happen in some distant future? Think again, it’s taking place right
here and now, in this life!
Every day
84 million barrels of oil is pumped out of earth! And the world wants more
every day. The problem is that oil is a finite resource. Soon a world addicted
to oil will face a situation where the pusher can’t deliver all what the world
needs. From there on it’s a downhill slope on the supply of oil. Many experts
believe we are at the peak right now, some say it will take some 10-20 years
more. But they all agree: it will happen in this life.
Modern
Babylon system is built on an unsustainable foundation! Clay feet! This modern,
global civilization will face a terrible situation when oil prices start
skyrocketing. The big cities of the world will finally crumble and fall. Because
there is nothing that can save them, nothing to replace the supply of cheap oil.
All the alternatives can only marginally substitute for the loss of cheap oil.
When the
oil era begun some 150 years ago the world population was 1.3 billion. Today it's 6.8 billion. And there has been a massive urbanization during this time. Half
of the world population today lives in cities. In 1850 it was less than 10%.
How is this possible?
It all
boils down to technological development based on oil. Modern, industrial
farming depends on artificial fertilizers, pesticides and automation, all based
on oil. This makes it possible to grow huge amounts of food with just a few
farmers. To transport the food to the cities also depends on oil. Without cheap
oil, food production will drop and the cost of living rise to a point where most
modern people will have a hard time affording the bare necessities of life. This
will lead to a situation of hunger, anarchy and collapse, especially for the
big cities. The countries who are most addicted to oil will be hit the hardest i
e USA, Europe and Asia.
When cheap
oil comes to an end the process of people migrating to cities will come to a halt
and start reverse. We will see a ruralisation process, people moving to the country
side and small towns and villages. But if this process is not organized in a
proper way it will be a chaotic situation, to say the least. If this issue is brought
up on a United Nations level, and taken serious, there is a chance for a smooth
transition. Otherwise it’s left for each region and nation to face the
consequences. The problem is that preparations should be done as soon as
possible, because the longer it takes to start this transition the harder it
will be. To have a successful transition you need cheap oil, so the time is
now! When oil start running scarce it’s too late. A positive transition needs
also time and a serious effort.
So why is
this not on the political agenda? Because it takes a new way of thinking!
Babylon system is built on eternal growth. Without a growing supply of oil the
economy can’t grow, it’s interlinked. So when the oil supply are ever-diminishing
it’s a downhill slope on the economic activity as well. The economy will continue
to shrink until it reach a new equilibrium where the economy is far smaller
than today. The American dream and consumerism will die. So it’s very hard for
the political leaders to put out such a revolutionary message because it conflicts
with the present order and thinking. Instead everything goes on as before,
hoping for a miracle cure that will solve the situation so this modern way of
life can go on forever. But they will be waiting in vain. So don’t wait for the politicians, check out the
real situation for yourself and take the necessary steps to make sure you’re
not trapped in Babylon when it falls!
We also
have to consider the military, strategic aspect of this situation. USA, who
consumes 25% of the world consumption of oil, is already engaged in a war for
oil in the Middle East. When the situation gets even more serious a military
clash over the remaining oil resources can occur. The advantage of controlling
the oil in a scarcity situation should not be underestimated. But I don’t know
enough of this to say too much. But the risk of big wars, even a world war, is
obvious. I also want to say that Babylon can fall for other reasons than
shortage of oil, but at least when the oil runs short Babylon don’t stand a
chance.
“Another Ingel cried mightily: Babylon the
great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the
hold of every foul spirit...for all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath
of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with
her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her
delicacies.
And I heard another voice from Iven, saying,
Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye
receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto Iven, and Jah hath
remembered her iniquities...for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am
no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day,
death and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fiyah: for
strong is Jah RastafarI who judgeth her...Rejoice over her, thou Iven, and ye
holy apostles and prophets; for Jah hath avenged you on her. And a mighty Ingel
took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus
with violence shall the great city Babylon be thrown down and shall be found no
more at all...for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. And in her was
found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the
earth. Selah!
- Revelation 18
So what is
RastafarI saying? Jah help those who help themselves! The RastafarI movement has
from the beginning said: Come out of Babylon because Babylon is falling! Go
forward to the roots and a simple Ital livity in the promised land.
It seems
now that mankind have to embrace the positive and peaceful message of the
rastaman in order to survive! RastafarI say repatriation is a must. Each man
under his own vine and fig tree. The time has come!
Lets
repatriate, lets build the new Irusalem, a shining example for the world to
see. A beautiful city, where Jahs light shine bright for Iver, built on
natural, clean principles in the highlands of Ithiopia. How good and how pleasant
it would be. What a joy! Lets Inite!
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the
first heaven and the first earth were passed away…and I saw the holy city, new
Irusalem, coming down from Jah out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of Jah is with man, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,
and Jah himself shall be with them, and be their God. And Jah shall wipe away
all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any pain: for the former things are passed
away…And he carried I away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and
showed I the great city, the holy Irusalem, descending out of heaven from Jah…And
I saw no temple therein: for Jah RastafarI are the temple of it…And the nations
of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth
do bring their glory and honour into it… And there shall in no wise enter into
it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a
lie: but they that are written in Jahs book of life.
