I think it’s really sad, that when people start succeeding in their life, careers, business  etc, other individuals feel the need to try and tarnish their reputation or under-mind their achievements.

I’ve personally experienced this quite a lot recently, as I had expected. The ....Glasgow.... music scene is a very bitchy place, and although I have worked my ass off for years, there are a lot of people who are being very vocal over how they feel I don’t deserve any of this, and mocking my musical, vocal, and song writing ability. But that’s fine. That’s their opinion. I expected it, and unfortunately it comes with the territory. You just have to get on with it and appreciate where you are.

The Burlesque scene is just as bad for this, and instead of supporting each other’s achievements, and the recognition and publicity its bringing this growing performance scene, some jealous individuals are sinking to some really low, low levels, to hurt people and their reputation. It really makes me sad.  

Jealousy and envy are terrible things!

With the internet, it’s all too easy for people to get their thoughts, opinions, and criticisms out there for the world to read. It’s also too easy for people to pretend to be someone else on a forum and make damaging comments, sell false stories, quote things out of context etc etc.

Don’t believe all that you read. Question every comment and its motive.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. They are also entitled to not have their judgement clouded by someone else’s jealousies and insecurities.

The truth always comes out in the end.
