Who Gives Kudos:

Thursday, October 09, 2008
We've been pretty silent as of late, so I thought it might be nice to post a little update, here, on the Albatross Party blog, so as to prove to you that we are not all dead.

We've taken a few months off of playing shows to focus on completing our album. We hope to have a record out by the time your great-grandchildren are old enough to drink. I kid. The recording sessions are going very well, the songs are sounding pretty awesome, and I think the end result is going to be well worth the wait. As for live shows, we're planning some for the beginning of 2009. Maybe we'll have some records to sell at those shows? Maybe...

In other news... When you see Tiziana, congratulate her. In the yearly Mountain Xpress "Best Of WNC" poll, she has won third place in the "Best Stylist" category. It's an impressive feat, especially since a) in recent years, the honors have gone almost exclusively to salon owners, and b) she didn't petition for votes. So, when you see her out and about, shake the lady's hand, and say congrats. Or better yet, go and get a haircut. You know you need one anyway, hippie.

Speaking of voting, you might've noticed that there is an election going on. If you're not registered to vote, now would be a good time to do so. It's pretty important. Oh, and early voting in WNC begins on October 16th.
